Got my DVD-RW back

So I went and got my DVD-RW back from the service center and guess what, they have given me a replacement model, but this one is better than the one I had! My previous drive was a single layer DVD-RW writing at 12x for DVD+R and 8x for DVD-R. Well this new one is a Teac DV-W516GB which does dual layer for DVD+R at 4x and single layer DVD+R at 16x!

Great! I will now fit it to my machine and make sure it all works OK!

Search Engine Optimization

Well let me be honest... the page ranking of this site is terrible :(
Worse than terrible, it is appalling, atrocious, beastly, dire, disastrous, disturbing, dreadful, frightful, ghastly, harrowing, poor, repulsive, unfortunate and certainly unpleasant and unwelcome.

So what to do? Well I have started learning about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and I am trying to tweak the site to see what happens!!!

If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears!

DVD-RW failure

Category: Me
Posted: 2005-08-15 12:28, Edited: 2005-08-15 17:28

:( Last week my DVD-RW failed :(
Fortunatley it was still under garuntee. It is a TEAC DV-W512GK. For the last 6 months it has worked without fault, but now it has developed a problem. The drive will no longer read any kind of CD disk. DVD disks (both data and video) work fine, but CD disks (CD Data, CD Audio, CD-R and CD-RW) no longer work.

Anyway I have shipped it back to the service center and I am expecting a replacement this week!

Thanks,

The fun never stops!!! It has been a great 3 months using and abusing my 64 bit machine. Installed now I have:

Suse 9.2 (32 bit)
Suse 9.2 (64 bit)
FC4 (64 bit)
Centos 4 (64 bit)

I am still very happy with Suse 9.2 and my system runs great!

More speed comparaions later!

Thanks,
